To say the past couple weeks have been rough would be an understatement. That’s life though right? We have our ups and downs, peaks and valleys. In the past I may have looked at life’s challenges as set backs and thrown myself a pity party. Okay, maybe I still throw myself a pity party but it’s a tiny one and I move on. During this time I remembered an easy mindset shift I want to share that will transform how you think of challenging times.
The mindset shift is that life isn’t happening to us, it’s always working out for us. This had me look at what was happening in a different light. I think sometimes we can be a detriment to ourselves when we try to figure out what’s best for us. How can we possibly know? We live in an unlimited universe full of unlimited possibilities so why limit ourselves to the limited possibilities that we can think of?
It’s been really difficult but I’m having to let go of something that I’ve worked so hard to build and thought for sure was my path. If I’m being truly honest, as I looked back, the signs were there. I chose not to face the facts. Then I remembered that God (insert universe, source whatever your comfortable with) is guiding me and maybe there is another plan for my life. One I’m hoping is amazingly wonderful beyond what I could ever conceive! One that I would not have been ready for unless I went through the past couple years of challenges and experiences.
I bet if you think back on your life you’ll be able to come up with a difficult time that ended up being a blessing in disguise. If so inspire us all by leaving your story in the comments below.
